In the late of this July, Olympic Games in Paris, France will start, which is four years after the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021. Like the previous Olympics, Paris is not covered with enthusiastic atmosphere from the residents and would possibly reveal economic and environmental problem through or after the event. Before the coming international games, consumer prices and accommodation cost have been up abnormally around there. Tourists from overseas will surprise everything is costly including an entrance fee of the Louvre. They may still have an image-the city of flowers, but while there are sightseeing flowers around the Eiffel Tower, contamination of the Seine is formidable. In the first place, Parisian do not have sense of welcome toward athletes and related participants from over the world. They have strong mind to keep their own life-style, cultural events and pleasure of inner-friends communication which have been familiar with for long time and not by disturbed by anyone, even if the city is characterized as a mix with international people. Another concern is that the participation of Russian athletes in the games would ignite controversy related to the ongoing Ukrainian War. Mass media dare to suggest the Olympics should be separated from political games, but such respectful spirit has been disappearing since the old-days summer games in Berlin. Russia will expect this summer moment as a useful opportunity to draw financial and militaristic aid from its supporting nations. Conscientious people will pray that the big gathering in the flower-like cultural city not to become a base of war-phase conspiracy.(Takashi Higashi, President, TCS)
