Good Motivation Needed for Change

This winter may see energy crisis in Europe again as Russian energy provision to the EU region will be limited depending on the ongoing situation of the Ukrainian war. While Germany shifted its basic energy policy from the usage of fossil fuel to that of renewable energy such as solar and wind, it seems to take certain years to substantially meet with needed demand. Maybe, there is a possibility that U.S. president Trump sends a direct call to EU heads for selling American oil and gas in emergency. Is there any idea to avoid such a seasonal energy crisis? Currently, while a boon on AI datacenter construction has been continuing over the world, another trend to strengthen renewable energy optimization using AI is going on. For instance, a tracking system in solar and wind power system linked to AI technology would predict a way of being of renewable energy for the future. It is often said that renewable energy business does not contribute to economic development explosively. However, such preconception is possible to be wrong. As to the energy business in fossil fuel, exploited quantity, high quality and adjusted price are key factors to bring economic effect. I wonder if those factors can be optimized in combination between AI technology and sporadic appearance of sunlight, wind, so on. In other words, an effective measure of high-precise exploitation of new energy would be realized by AI-base (or quantum technology possible) calculation. Regarding the mentioned energy crisis in Europe, why EU leaders do not discuss about how to utilize AI for solving reiterated energy shortage? Do they prefer a lick of each otherfs unfortunate wound to serious practical debate for our future society?  The most important thing to change the present world is to have a good motivation. That mind does not lead to escape economic crisis in a political way but to gaze severe fact and have a resolute will to change the situation practically.  In the past times, human beings were forced to face tremendous difficulties at unavoidable events and accidents from time to time. But our ancestors overcame them each time. As history proves, we should fully utilize our brain with resolve for producing safe and reliable world by our own hand. Do not escape into a blind alley. We shall open a door to a new world! (Takashi Higashi, President, TCS)
